High-end Mechanical Movements with a full Silicon Escapement

Introducing the new series R01, featuring a proprietary silicon escapement and hairspring at its core. This advanced design delivers outstanding performance through four tiers of chronometric precision, an extended power reserve of 80 hours, and a forward-looking platform architecture. Engineered for creative versatility, flexible configuration, and a slim profile, the R01 line of mechanical movements enables seamless integration into contemporary timepieces.

Full Silicon Escapement & Chronometric Performance

At the core of the R01 is a full silicon escapement, including hairspring, pallet fork and escape wheel, combined with a free-sprung balance system. The material properties of silicon — low mass, thermal stability, anti-magnetic behavior and minimal friction — directly enhance rate stability and reduce long-term wear. The R01 mechanical series offers four tiers of chronometric accuracy, from elevated daily tolerances to up to -2 to +4 seconds a day, per the new COSC Excellence standard.

Across all configurations, it maintains resistance to magnetic fields of at least 200 gauss, ensuring consistent rate stability under real-world conditions.

A new Movement Architecture in Size and Height

The R01 is engineered as a platform caliber intended for OEM integration. With a diameter of 12½ lignes / 28.20 mm and a thickness of 4.20 mm, it remains approximately 9% slimmer than comparable calibers while maintaining structural rigidity and performance reserves. 

Its architecture allows multiple display configurations and dial designs without altering core dimensions. This dimensional stability enables brands to develop variations within a single case design, simplifying development cycles and tooling. Future extensions of complications are supported within the same platform envelope.

80-Hour Power Reserve

The R01 integrates a mainspring system designed for extended autonomy, delivering a nominal power reserve of 80 hours. This “weekend-proof” performance profile ensures operational continuity over typical non-wear periods without compromising amplitude stability.

The movement operates at 3.5 Hz (25,200 A/h), balancing energy efficiency and chronometric stability. Combined with the escapement design, the result is a consistent rate behavior across the entire energy cycle and offers greater flexibility for modern lifestyles.

Decoration and Caliber Variants

The R01 platform is developed with consideration for downstream finishing and brand-specific differentiation. Bridges, mainplate and oscillating weight offer ample surfaces for industrial or decorative treatments, including matte, brushed or Geneva stripe finishes, as well as fully bespoke executions.

At launch, two variants are available: Caliber R01-01 with central seconds and date and caliber R01-02 with small seconds and date. The date aperture has been proportionally enlarged to improve legibility and design flexibility. – The movement’s layout ensures visual balance while preserving sufficient surface area for decorative finishing and brand-specific integration.
