Optimal Storage of Ronda Watch Movements

To ensure the long-term quality and performance of quartz movements, proper storage is essential. The present storage conditions define the requirements that must be met to maintain the functionality of the movements until further processing. They apply to all quartz movements of RONDA AG.

Storage Conditions for Ronda Quartz Movements

Ronda quartz movements can be stored for several months until further processing, provided that appropriate storage conditions are maintained.

To ensure the full functionality of Ronda quartz movements during storage, the following storage conditions for fully assembled movements must be strictly observed:

  • Storage temperature: 18 °C to 25 °C
  • Relative humidity: max. 70%
  • Cleanliness: Particle cleanliness class according to ISO 14644-1, Class 9
  • The movements shall be protected from light during storage. Ideally, they should be stored in their original packaging (trays and plastic bags) as supplied.
  • The condition of the movements shall be checked no later than 12 months after the delivery date. In particular, the condition of the oil and the batteries shall be inspected.
For movements stored with the stem in the pulled position, it is also recommended that the stem be pushed to position 1 and that a timing test be carried out for at least 48 hours.

Failure to comply with these storage conditions may result in premature ageing of the oil and consequently impair the proper functioning of the movements. In such cases, warranty claims will be rejected.
