Products
Turned parts for watch manufacturers
We have been specializing in microdrilling of between 0.15 and 3.00 mm diameter for nearly 50 years now.
Zwahlen produces a wide range of components for the watch manufacturing industry: cannon pinions, sliding pinions, setting wheels, spindles for small second wheels and third wheels, minute and hour wheels, center tubes or studs. And it does so using AP 600 steel, 4C27A, nickel silver, copper-beryllium, brass or inox. – Small- and large-scale series production can also be undertaken.
Our company offers a wide selection of different production processes, to optimally meet the needs of customers.
All completed series are subjected to in-house quality checks using state-of-the-art equipment. And this, together with its check records and its sound and reliable logistics, ensures that every Zwahlen product meets the highest precision and quality standards.

History
Garage beginnings
The Zwahlen company was founded by cousins Gérard and Marcel Zwahlen in 1974. The partners started by installing a handful of machines in the family garage, before moving to their first bigger premises in 1978.
In 1983 the company relocated again to the former Oris building in Malleray, which enabled it to add substantially to its machinery range.

The Bévilard years
It soon outgrew these premises, too, though. So the cousins decided to build their own new production facility, between Sorvillier and Bévilard, in 1987.
This was also the year that Gérard’s son Serge Zwahlen joined the company workforce. Four years later he became a shareholder as well.
