Two important sets of provisions – the “Verordnung über die Ursprungsbeglaubigung” (the Ordinance on Certifications of Origin) and the “Verordnung des Eidgenössischen Volkswirtschaftsdepartements über den Ursprung” (the Ordinance of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs on Origins) – prescribe what criteria must be met and what procedures must be followed to obtain a Swiss certificate of origin.
