(Lausen / Switzerland, March 26, 2009) – The “Mastertech” series 7000 launched three years ago met with great approval; this is why a wide range of brands together with their creations were widely represented in the market within a short space of time. Following on from the first retrograde models, RONDA presented a sleek big date watch movement with three hands - 7003.B and another version with a small second hand - 7004.B, last spring. Now there is yet another retrograde model to complete the 15” line:
With the 7004.P, the asymmetric arrangement of day display, small second hand and big date has been deliberately chosen so that watch manufacturers can again design sophisticated and completely new dials.
Once again RONDA has proven that its innovative products open up new sectors of the market to their customers.

Investments in Switzerland

RONDA was able to complete the new building project in southern Switzerland on time. In summer 2008, two of the group’s subsidiaries moved into their new facilities with a total surface area of 6,000m2. Swiss Made watch movements are assembled in Stabio, as well as finished watches commissioned by customers. Now, with the expanded infrastructure, RONDA is well equipped in the long term for higher production capacities at its Swiss site plants.

A successful 2008

RONDA can look back on a successful 2008 business year due to an attractive product range and the good price-performance ratio of its high-quality quartz movements. Nevertheless, the company was faced with a downturn in sales at the end of the fourth quarter.
